Vestibular Rehabilitation
Vestibular rehabilitation therapy can help people suffering from dizziness and/or a sense of imbalance.
Our balance is based on our ears, eyes, muscles and our brain coordinating where our bodies are in space as well as keeping our view of the world level and still. Problems occur when the brain receives contradictory or delayed information and/or our bodies do not react appropriately to the nerve impulses.
Vestibular rehabilitation therapy is designed to address the specific problems of individuals suffering from vertigo or a sense of imbalance through the use of physical therapy techniques. These symptoms can be easily treated with a series of movement patterns, the use of balance strategies, and integration into functional activities.
