Grand Junction, Colorado is the epicenter of outdoor enjoyment. At an elevation of 4,586 feet, there is near year-round golfing, hiking and single-track mountain-biking. Wine grapes, juicy peaches and enormous garden tomatoes thrive in the temperate high desert bisected by the Colorado River. For a change in altitude, just 35 miles away is the world’s largest flat-top mountain, soaring to 10,000 feet.

Colorado National Monument has 23,000 acres of naturally sculpted sandstone and 50 miles of hiking trails.

Grand Mesa has more than 200 lakes on its aspen-covered flanks. Camp, hike and fish in the summer and cross-country ski, board and snowmobile in the winter.
Powderhorn Ski Resort, just 35 miles away, has 600 skiable acres and a 1,650-foot vertical drop.

Both the Colorado and Gunnison rivers pass through Grand Junction, providing rafting, kayaking and canoeing.
