Volunteering at Community Hospital

Volunteers are an essential part of Community Hospital. They bring to our patients, visitors, employees and physicians their own unique qualities, time and energy. It is our hope that our volunteers find the satisfaction and personal fulfillment that come with serving others and being a part of a worthwhile cause.

Help support our mission and critical healthcare role in our community. Test a potential career path as a student volunteer or give back some of your life-learned skills as an adult volunteer at Community Hospital. We have opportunities as varied as working in the hospital library to retail sales in the gift shop.

Community Hospital Volunteers
Community Hospital currently has more than 90 volunteers working in almost every department of the hospital. You may see those volunteers helping guests to find their way through the hospital, or delivering flowers to patient rooms; they may be helping customers in the gift shop or the reception area. Many “behind the scenes” volunteers do clerical work, assemble inpatient and outpatient notebooks and help with many special projects and events for the hospital. Community Hospital’s volunteers give more than 20,000 hours in 2008 to support the hospital’s mission.

Without the help of our dedicated volunteers, Community Hospital simply could not provide the quality of service for which we are known.
